Study Tip - Week 25
Getting the Most out of MP3 Technology
Most people have iPods or another MP3 recording device. Why not use that technology to help you in your medical transcription studies? Those who have chat headsets with both earphones and a microphone may want to use them, but if you don't have one, you should still be able to record on your Windows Media Player on your PC.
Here are some suggestions:
- Record your vocabulary terms with definitions and listen to them on the go.
- Record yourself reading your textbook aloud so you can listen again later.
- If you have a digital recorder and your teacher gives permission, record an important lecture for you to review again outside of class.
- Download medical podcasts from the Internet that you've found through a Google search.
- Exchange MP3 files with a study partner so that you have double the material to listen to.
